Do I Look like a jukebox????

ARRRRRRRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Its gonna happen sometimes, yes people will ask for request which as dj is always expected. But it gets a bit a tad tedious when you have a line of people shouting request at you. My job is to play the music which the majority of people will enjoy, I know I have good why of adapting my style to adapt to the crowd. But some people don't appreciate what a dj can do and demand no think its the their right to hear a certain song which NO ONE has ever heard of expect them.

Some my friends are club dj's and hang around the booth and just watch how some people are just so dam rude. Thrusting a mobile phone at the dj's face. That gets on my nerves. I have seen in one instance a person actually entering the booth and take the dj headphone and shout request at them. Its annoying. Or its advertise that the club will be playing rnb and funky house you get some fool asking for abba COME ON PEOPLE!!!!! 80s are where their suppose to be in the past.

Also what annoys the heck of me is people are not willing to accept new tunes. Yes Beyonce and Lady Gaga maybe good but come on people there's so much other tunes. Ever heard of Chrisette Michele or Keri Hilson. I remember when I receive Beyonce Single Ladies back in October and gave it to one of my club dj's. They played it and everyone just stood their and scratch their heads. Now in May/June people go mad for it and actually do that dance, yes all the dance moves just shows how people are out of work and have much time on their hands.

In this rant I am just trying to say show your dj a little more respect we work dam hard to make sure that the music it right. Let him/her take it to a level or just dance enjoy the music please and don't annoy us. We are after all human beings not JUKEBOX.
